Project Brief
The American Brain Foundation’s Commitment To Cures event is their largest fundraising event of the year. In 2020, they needed to host the event virtually due to COVID-19 and enlisted Yakkety Yak’s help to make that happen.
How We Helped

The Opportunity
As a nonprofit, the American Brain Foundation leans heavily on donors and fundraising events to raise money to support their mission and work towards life without brain disease. However, in the midst of the global COVID-19 pandemic, their largest annual fundraising event had to be canceled. Instead of throwing in the towel, they decided to rise to the challenge and brought Yakkety Yak in to turn their most important in-person fundraising event into a successful virtual event.

The Outcome
The Yakkety Yak team worked with the American Brain Foundation to develop a comprehensive virtual program. YY created pre-event promotions and calls for fundraising, developed the virtual experience destination on the American Brain Foundation website and managed the live event. As a result, the American Brain Foundation exceeded its fundraising goals for the event and has added virtual events to its mix of communications moving forward.
