Announcing Yakkety Yak Gives Back

Yakkety Yak to donate one year of marketing services to Chicago charity

By Ashley Logan

Over the course of my life, there are things that I have taken for granted. I’m only human, after all. But when I look at the world around me, there are so many people who deserve more than what they are getting—and I’ve never been able to shake the knowledge of just how lucky we are.

Yakkety Yak was founded with a strong code of ethics that we enforce each and every day at the office. As our team continued to grow, we realized that there was more we could be doing. Sure, we had worked with nonprofit organizations before. But we wanted to take it a step further.

Which is how Yakkety Yak Gives Back was born.

Yakkety Yak Gives Back is our own nonprofit program specifically designed to leverage our resources on behalf of an organization that is working for the betterment of the people of Chicago. Our goal is to help one charitable group make an even bigger impact.

Digging even deeper, we realized that it was important for our program to have a little bit of focus. As a woman-owned business, a feminist and a mother, we decided that we would start with organizations that benefit women or children in the greater Chicagoland area. What the recipient can expect from us is a team of people who care very deeply about the success of our clients.

Services include website design and development, branding, social media content, blog content, print materials, SEO and Google AdWords management. The nonprofit program will coincide with the launch of an elite apprenticeship, where trainees will be dedicated to the nonprofit’s marketing efforts—all directly overseen by the management team.

This dedicated training program provides recent college graduates with hands-on experience as they work alongside the agency team to develop and execute a marketing program. Our goal is to provide bright, young talent with the opportunity to learn the ins and outs of digital marketing while making a direct impact on the community.

Over the years, we have donated our time and resources to organizations we’re passionate about. Serving the community is truly ingrained in our company culture. With the launch of this new program, we are opening up the opportunity to more organizations.

Interested nonprofits can apply at www.yakketyyakgivesback.com to be considered. The organization will be chosen based on impact, passion and overall reach. The program kicks off in September.

We are so proud to formalize something we have done all along. Please follow along on the journey. #yakketyyakgivesback
